General Information
The General Information section includes Pearson at a Glance, What is a Study Plan?, and Resources & Learning Aids. These provide a general guide for the Pearson interface including the features of quizzes/tests/assignments and study plan.
Pearson at a Glance
- The following symbols designate an item in Pearson:
- For some courses, you can print out the homework assignments only once (before your first attempt) using these directions:
- Select the first question of a specific assignment.
- Find and select Question Help.
- Select Print.
- Select Print homework assignment.
- The assignment due date is shown at the top of the assignment and a score summary is displayed at the bottom.
- Multi-part homework questions will only show one part at a time. You must select Check Answer to check your response before moving onto the next part.
- When completing a quiz or test, you must select Submit to record your score. Selecting the S (Save) button saves your work, but does not record your score.
- It is recommended you complete the homework before attempting the quiz.

Viewing Assignment Policies
Policies regarding number of attempts, time allotment, and point values for specific assignments/quizzes/tests vary by course. These policies can be found in the assignments within Canvas. See examples below. (Images do not reflect all course policies)
