Tableau Public

Program logo

Tableau Public is a free platform to publicly share and explore data visualizations online. Anyone can create visualizations using either Tableau Desktop Professional Edition or the free Public Edition. With millions of inspiring data visualizations, anyone can see and understand visualizations about any public data topic under the sun, making data part of everyday life and supporting a community to grow and learn from each other.

The purpose of this guide is to help students access Tableau Public, understand its basic features, and utilize support contacts.

Note: ERAU-Worldwide utilizes Tableau Public instead of student or teacher licensing because the latter is only available for one year. Tableau Public is free for any user beyond one year, and will better meet the needs of students taking multiple classes using Tableau.
