SAS Viya Setup

This page is to help you set up the SAS Viya training materials based on your course requirements. Each time you log in to SAS, you will need to access the training materials to launch the SAS Viya interface. Select your course to continue.

BUAN 304

Follow these instructions to access and launch SAS Viya for your BUAN 304 class.

Step 1

Select Access Type

Log in to SAS Viya for Learners using the account you created with your ERAU email and select Access for students.

Step 2

Activate Product

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Viya for Learners.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Step 3

Register for Skill Builder

Once you have activated the product you will be taken to the SAS Viya for Learners home screen. Scroll down and select Register for SAS Skill Builder for Students.

Step 4

Access Skill Builder

Select Access SAS Skill Builder.

Step 5

Visit Website

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Skill Builder for Students.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Step 6

Open Learning Paths

On the My Training page, select Learning Paths located under My Library.

Step 7

Select Learning Path Category

Find Data Literacy and Data Visualization and select Explore.

Step 8

Enroll in a Course

Find the SAS Visual Analytics 1 for SAS Viya: Basics learning path and select Show More on the right-hand side. Select Go to Course.

Step 9

Verify Enrollment

You are now enrolled in the course. A green banner will appear at the top of the course when you first access it confirming your enrollment.

BUAN 522

Follow these instructions to access SAS Viya for your BUAN 522 class.

Step 1

Select Access Type

Log in to SAS Viya for Learners using the account you created with your ERAU email and select Access for students.

Step 2

Activate Product

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Viya for Learners.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Register for Skill Builder

Once you have activated the product you will be taken to the SAS Viya for Learners home screen. Scroll down and select Register for SAS Skill Builder for Students.

Step 4

Access Skill Builder

Select Access SAS Skill Builder.

Step 5

Visit Website

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Skill Builder for Students.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

BUAN 523

Follow these instructions to access SAS Viya for your BUAN 523 class.

Step 1

Select Access Type

Log in to SAS Viya for Learners using the account you created with your ERAU email and select Access for students.

Register for Skill Builder

Once you have activated the product you will be taken to the SAS Viya for Learners home screen. Scroll down and select Register for SAS Skill Builder for Students.

Access Skill Builder

Select Access SAS Skill Builder.

Step 5

Accept License Agreement

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Skill Builder for Students.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Step 6

Open Learning Paths

On the My Training page, select Learning Paths located under My Library.

Step 7

Select Learning Path Category

Find Statistical Analysis, Predictive Modeling, and Machine Learning in SAS Viya and select Explore.

Step 8

Enroll in a Course

Find the Machine Learning Using Sas Viya learning path and select Show More on the right-hand side. Select Go to Course.

Step 9

Verify Enrollment

You are now enrolled in the course. A green banner will appear at the top of the course when you first access it confirming your enrollment.

BUAN 524

Follow these instructions to access SAS Viya for your BUAN 524 class.

Step 1

Select Access Type

Log in to SAS Viya for Learners using the account you created with your ERAU email and select Access for students.

Step 2

Activate Product

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Viya for Learners.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Return to My Training

Select My Training in the top right corner to return to the My Training page.

Open Learning Paths

On the My Training page, select Learning Paths located under My Library.

Select Learning Path Category

Find Statistical Analysis, Predictive Modeling, and Machine Learning in SAS Viya and select Explore.

Step 13

Enroll in a Course

Find the SAS Visual Statistics in SAS Viya: Interactive Model Building learning path and select Show More on the right-hand side. Select Go to Course.

Step 14

Verify Enrollment

You are now enrolled in the course. A green banner will appear at the top of the course when you first access it confirming your enrollment.

Instructor

Follow these instructions to set up your instructor access to SAS Viya.
Note: There is no difference between the resources available to instructors and students. Designating your role will help with institutional licensing and tracking ERAU accounts.

Step 1

Select Access Type

Log in to SAS Viya for Learners using the account you created with your ERAU email and select Access for Educators.

Step 2

Activate Product

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Viya for Learners.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Step 3

Register for Skill Builder

Once you have activated the product you will be taken to the SAS Viya for Learners home screen. Scroll down and select Register for the SAS Educator Portal.

Step 4

Access Skill Builder

Select Access SAS Educator Portal.

Step 5

Accept License Agreement

On the My Training page, complete the following:

Verify that the product you are activating is SAS Educator Portal.
Select the checkbox to confirm Yes, I accept the License Agreement.
Select Submit.

Step 6

Complete Setup

Setup is complete for BUAN 522. For BUAN 304, 523, and 524, select the button for your course and resume setup on step 6.
