Download Software

SQL Server is only compatible on Windows and Linux operating systems. This site includes instructions for installing SQL Server on a Windows machine. If you are using a Macintosh computer, visit the Mac User Support page first.

Step 1

Navigate to Sign In

On the Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching page, select Sign In.

Step 2

Log In

If prompted, enter your ERAU email address, then select Next.

Note: You may also be prompted to sign into ERNIE.

Step 3

Accept Terms

Check the box next to "I agree to the subscription agreement..." and select Accept terms.

Note: You may be asked to verify your academic status before continuing. Fill out the requested information and follow the prompts to continue.

Step 4

Access Software

In the Education - Quick Start section, click on Software.

Note: If you are not able to successfully access the Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching site or install the software, visit the Support page.

Step 5

Search for SQL Server

In the software search box, type in SQL Server.

Step 6

Select SQL Server 2019 Developer

Locate and select SQL Server 2019 Developer in the search results.

Step 7

Download SQL Server

In the preview pane, select Download.

Note: Downloading SQL Server on slower internet connections could take more than an hour.

Step 8

Proceed to Installation

You will now need to install SQL Server on your computer. Proceed to the installation page for your operating system.
