Getting Started with Perusall
Access to Perusall is available directly in the Canvas course navigation and assignment links. There is no need to sign up for a Perusall account; accessing Perusall via Canvas for the first time will generate an account for you. Users should only ever access Perusall via Canvas; do NOT access the vendor website directly.
Note: Some courses utilize Perusall access for more engaging course textbook reading assignments. This allows students to annotate and communicate with peers, all in relation to course textbook topics. Where appropriate, students will be prompted to enter an access code (received after purchasing the textbook from the campus bookstore). See Step 5 for more guidance.
Use the steps below to access Perusall via Canvas modules.

Step 5
If the course has assignments associated with the course textbook, you will be prompted to redeem an access code before you can see the textbook annotation assignment. When a student purchases the textbook at the campus bookstore, they will be provided an access code via email. Visit the Support page if you need additional guidance.
