Install VCL

Below choose which type of device you are on, and follow the corresponding guide to download Virtual Composites Lab.

Windows

Step 1

Download and Locate VCL

Download the VCL_Windows.zip file and locate it in your downloads folder. The download will begin automatically and may take a few minutes depending on your internet connection.

Step 2

Extract Download

Select Extract all in the File Explorer.

Step 3

Select File Destination

Select the location you want the folder extracted to by selecting Browse... then select Extract.

Note: Extracting the files may take a few minutes.

Step 4

Launch VCL

From the extracted folder, open the VCL_Windows folder.

Locate and open the VCL_Windows.exe file to launch the program.

Step 5

Windows Protection

The file may need special permission to run. To allow the file to run, first select More Info.

Step 6

Run Program

To run the file, select Run anyway.

Note: This step is only required the first time you launch VCL.

Step 1

Download VCL

Download the VCL_macOS.zip file. The download will begin automatically and may take a few minutes depending on your internet connection.

Step 2

Select Download

Locate and open the downloaded VCL_macOS file. You may be prompted with a warning message. Select Done.

Step 3

Run VCL

Open the System Settings and scroll to Privacy and Security. Select Open Anyway for the VCL_macOS file

Open VCL

Select Open Anyway from any security alert and the VCL will begin to open.
