Using Fixed Wing

Review the information below for instructions on how to use the fixed wing program. Select each image to enlarge it.

Step 1

Login

ERUPT Startup screen with EMbry-Riddle Disclaimer and 'Continue' button

When opening the ERUPT software, you will be greeted by a Embry-Riddle Copyright screen. Select Continue to start the simulation.

Step 2

Start

You can choose your maximum pitch/bank angle in the check boxes on the bottom left.

Step 3

Controller Layout

The following controller layout uses an Xbox controller, but the arrangement is the same for all supported controllers:

  • Left Stick: Throttle-yaw
  • Left Stick Press: Holding Pattern
  • Left Bumper: Launch
  • Left Trigger: Zoom out
  • Right Stick: Roll-pitch
  • Right Stick Press: Nose Camera Lock
  • Right Bumper: Cycles camera view
  • Right Trigger: Zoom in
  • X: Settings
  • Y: Controller menu
  • B: Reset scene
  • A: Take a screenshot
  • Game Pad: Rotate nose camera
